Golfer’s elbow, also known as medial epicondylitis, is a condition that causes pain in the inner aspect of the forearm and elbow, cantered around the elbow joint. It is caused by repetitive stress on the wrist and elbow, often from activities that involve wrist flexion and gripping. The treatment for golfer’s elbow is similar to the treatment for tennis elbow, and may include muscle and tendon recovery, appropriate strengthening exercises, activity modification, and offloading the strained muscles with bracing or taping. At PPI, we use a variety of techniques and therapies, including hands-on care, exercise prescription, shockwave therapy, bracing, laser therapy, and activity modification, to help you recover from golfer’s elbow and return to the activities you enjoy.
